An onward ticket service is only useful if the airline can find the booking. Some services create a real reservation in your name with the airline; others send a document that looks like one. The eight checks below tell them apart before you pay. They apply to any provider, including us.
1. Is it a real reservation you can check with the airline?
A real reservation has a booking reference (PNR) that the airline recognizes. Ask where you can check it, then do so: most airlines have a "Manage booking" page where you enter the reference and your last name. You can also use a free PNR checker.
A PDF without a reference the airline can find is a document, not a reservation. Check-in staff and some consulates look the booking up, and an itinerary they cannot find raises questions instead of answering them.
2. Does it carry your exact passport name and your real route?
The reservation should show your name as written in your passport, the route you would actually fly to leave the country, and a departure date within the stay you are allowed. A name that differs from your passport, or a flight that does not leave the country, defeats the purpose.
3. How long does it stay active, and can you choose when?
A temporary reservation is not a paid ticket: the airline releases it after a while. Ask how long it stays active and whether you can choose when it starts. If your check-in or appointment is weeks away, a service that lets you activate the reservation shortly before you need it is worth more than one that starts the clock at payment.
4. How fast is it delivered?
If you are at the airport or your appointment is tomorrow, delivery time matters more than anything else. Look for a stated delivery time and a way to follow the order, rather than "within 24 hours".
5. What does the price include?
Compare what you get, not the number alone: a real reservation with a reference, delivery time, how long it stays active, and what happens if something goes wrong. A low price for a document the airline cannot find costs more if it fails at check-in.
6. What happens if it is not delivered?
Read the refund terms before paying. A serious service refunds you when it cannot deliver the reservation, or when it charges you twice. No service can refund a visa refusal or an airline's decision, and an honest one says so.
7. Does it promise what nobody can promise?
No service can guarantee that every airline, embassy or border officer will accept a reservation. Airlines and authorities decide what they accept for your passport and route; airlines check entry rules against IATA's database, which you can consult on the IATA Travel Centre. Be wary of "100% accepted everywhere". Prefer services that explain the rules by country and link to the official source.
8. Can you reach a person?
If the airline cannot find the booking or a detail is wrong, you need someone who answers quickly, ideally with a way to check the order status yourself.

How Safeonward answers these checks
- Real reservation: booked in your name with the airline, with a booking reference (PNR) you can check on the airline's website.
- Delivery: by email, a few minutes after payment.
- Validity: 48 hours from activation. With later activation you receive a link and activate the reservation when you need it.
- Dates: the reserved flight must depart at least 10 days after the order.
- Price: from EUR 9.90, with fixed local prices in some countries; the total is shown before payment.
- Refunds: if we cannot deliver the reservation because of our service, or you were charged twice, we refund you.
- Limits: it is not a paid ticket and cannot be used to board. Airlines and authorities decide what they accept; our country guides summarize the official rule with its source.

FAQ
Is an onward ticket reservation legal?
A genuine reservation in your name is a normal airline booking that has not been paid in full. What is not acceptable is an altered or fake document, or presenting a reservation as a paid ticket when you are asked for one.
Can I use a reservation for a visa application?
Many consulates ask for a flight reservation rather than a paid ticket. Check the document list for your visa: it says what the consulate expects.
What if the check-in agent cannot find the booking?
Show the booking reference and the airline's name from the confirmation email. If it still cannot be found, contact the service right away: it can check the booking on its side.
Create a temporary flight reservation for visa files, airline checks, or proof of onward travel.
